  • WCIRB Research Forum – 2017 WCIRB Geo Study

    The WCIRB will hold a WCIRB Research Forum webinar to discuss the recently release 2017 WCIRB Geo Study which examines the differences in the costs of claims among California regions. Attendees will be able to ask questions regarding the study.

  • WCIRB CompEssentials® Experience Rating Fundamentals Walkthrough

    The WCIRB has added the new Experience Rating Fundamentals course to the WCIRB CompEssentials online training program. The WCIRB CompEssentials team will demonstrate the dynamic functionality and share some of the vital educational content contained in Experience Rating Fundamentals.   • 2018 Experience Modifications

    Dave Bellusci, Ward Brooks and Rod Libbe will discuss the Insurance Commissioner’s decision on the Regulatory Filing, the status of the publication of 2018 experience modifications and thoughts on experience rating in 2019.

WCIRB CompEssentials® – Experience Rating Fundamentals

With CompEssentials’ innovative online education program, agents, brokers, insurers and other industry professionals can gain a better understanding of the basic components of experience rating through our online learning course, WCIRB CompEssentials – Experience Rating Fundamentals. The course consists of nine self-paced, convenient and comprehensive instruction covering:

  • Calculating a policyholder's total Expected Losses to determine eligibility and primary threshold
  • How claims impact an X-Mod
  • How to use the experience rating formula to calculate an X-Mod
