The WCIRB has just added the approved July 1, 2015 pure premium rates as well as over 3,000 keywords to the online Classification Search tool. Classification Search is the fastest, and most useful online resource for helping users correctly classify operations and businesses.

Classification Search — easily accessed from the WCIRB.com homepage — is free, does not require a login, and is accessible on all browsers and mobile devices. With over 200,000 hits since its launch, Classification Search has quickly become the most popular feature of the WCIRB website.

The WCIRB has been constantly adding new features to Classification Search including:

  • More robust searches by keyword
  • Pure premium rate history
  • Classification listings by industry group
  • Comparison between current and prior classification phraseology and footnote

Upcoming Enhancements

At the end of this year, Classification Search will be updated to include:

  • Sample descriptions of the operations that have historically been assigned to each classification
  • Enhanced links to the applicable USRP rules and special industry classification procedures
