WCIRB Mod Talks: 2017 Experience Rating Changes

January 27, 2016

Next month, the WCIRB will kick off a series of webinar discussions regarding the Experience Rating Plan changes coming in 2017. These webinars will cover what you need to know in order to answer questions from your clients and policyholders, and allow you to ask questions of the WCIRB regarding the potential impact of these changes.

Each 30-minute webinar consists of a brief presentation on a specific aspect of the changes and any updates, followed by a question and answer session. Some of the topics covered in this webinar series include:

  • How experience modifications will be calculated under the new 2017 Experience Rating Plan
  • How primary and excess credibility will be determined using a variable split point which is based on expected losses
  • The impact of unaudited payroll on 2017 experience modifications
  • When the new Experience Rating Plan values will be filed with the Insurance Commissioner and when the WCIRB will begin issuing 2017 experience modifications
  • Tools and resources for 2017 experience modifications

The first webinar session will be on:

Thursday, February 25, 2016
10:00 AM – 10:30 AM PT
