Trending Now – New search options for WCIRB Research and Analysis, Pure Premium Rates added to Classification Search and a new Pure Premium Rate (WCRATE) product

The WCIRB made several enhancements to WCIRB.com this week and released a new product based on requests received from WCIRB members.

Keywords for Research and Analysis Reports
Finding WCIRB information on a specific topic is now easier with the addition of over 500 keywords associated with our many research reports. With these keywords in place, you can use the website’s general search feature to more quickly find what you are looking for. As new reports are added in the future, we will add new keywords as a way of continuously improving the search experience.

Advisory Pure Premium Rates in the Classification Search Tool
The Classification Search tool has been updated to include the approved January 1, 2016 advisory pure premium rates. With the advisory pure premium rates added, the Classification Search results now fully reflect all January 1, 2016 changes approved by the Insurance Commissioner.

Pure Premium Rates as a WCRATE File
When approved by the Insurance Commissioner, the WCIRB posts to its website the newly approved advisory pure premium rates as a comma delimited file. Based on requests from our members, the WCIRB is now including a version of this file based on the WCRATE file format developed by the Workers’ Compensation Insurance Organization (WCIO). This new file contains the abbreviated classification wording from the WCIRB’s classification relativity review sheets and the approved January 1, 2016 advisory pure premium rate for each standard classification. The data is in a comma-delimited and fixed-length text format.

The file and a companion document identifying the data fields are posted on the WCIRB website in the Publications and Filings section.

Information about the WCIO’s WCRATE file specifications are available by visiting the WCIO website (www.wcio.org).
