With the Insurance Commissioner's decision regarding the January 1, 2014 Regulatory Filing, and the soon to be issued decision regarding the January 1, 2014 Pure Premium Rate Filing, the WCIRB is putting the finishing touches on the 2014 editions of the California Workers' Compensation Uniform Statistical Reporting Plan - 1995 (USRP), the California Workers' Compensation Experience Rating Plan - 1995 (ERP) and the Miscellaneous Regulations for the Recording and Reporting of Data-1995 (Miscellaneous Regulations).
New in 2014 is a change to the way the WCIRB publishes the experience rating plan values used to calculate experience modifications and the advisory pure premium rates. In prior years, the advisory pure premium rates were published in Appendix I of the USRP, and the expected loss rates, D-ratios, and credibility values were published in Tables II and III of the ERP. These values, along with the experience rating eligibility threshold, have been removed from the USRP and ERP and will be separately published by the WCIRB once approved by the Insurance Commissioner.
The January 1, 2014 USRP, ERP and Miscellaneous Regulations will soon be available in the Publications and Filings > Manuals and Plans
section of the website. Upon receipt of a decision from the Insurance Commissioner, the advisory pure premium rates and experience r
ating plan values will be added to this section of the website. A decision from the Commissioner on these values is expected shortly.
