WCIRB Classifications Basics is a comprehensive, nine-module course that provides an overview of the basic rules and regulations pertaining to the Standard Classification System. The course is self-paced and features interactive examples and knowledge checks to let you practice applying key concepts. In addition, hands-on demonstrations help you become familiar with WCIRB tools and resources that you can use to classify businesses. The CompEssentials learning portal also contains free educational materials including video recordings of webinars covering topics such as reporting of medical only or first aid claims and potential 2019 experience rating changes. New content is regularly being developed and added to the CompEssentials catalog.
In Fall 2017, the WCIRB will launch Experience Rating Fundamentals, a nine-module course covering the rules and regulations governing the Experience Rating System. You will learn about experience modifications, including how a business qualifies for one, how they are calculated, and what factors cause them to increase or decrease.
