WCIRB Connect® Tips and Tricks: Logging in and Managing Your User Account

The WCIRB Contact Center regularly answers questions on how to use the many different features of WCIRB Connect. The WCIRB News and Notes is a great way to stay informed on system enhancements and to learn new tips on how to maximize your experience on WCIRB Connect. In this edition, we offer some basics to get you started.

Tips for a successful login

To log into WCIRB Connect successfully, we recommend manually typing in your user ID and password. Copying and pasting your password from the WCIRB’s confirmation email into the WCIRB Connect password field can produce an extra space that will trigger an “Invalid Email Address or Password” message to appear.

If you forget your password, simply click the “Forgot Password” link on the Login page, answer one of your security questions accurately and a temporary password will be emailed to you. It may take up to 5 minutes for the temporary password email to show up in your inbox.

Agencies and brokerages with more than 5 WCIRB Connect users and most insurer users have a Group System Administrator (GSA) who can also reset your password or help with other login issues. If you are an agent or broker who is registered to WCIRB Connect as an individual user, you may contact the WCIRB Contact Center if you need help resetting your password.

Keep your WCIRB Connect account active

If you recently registered to access WCIRB Connect, we suggest you log in promptly after you receive the confirmation email containing your login information. If you do not access WCIRB Connect within 30 days from receipt of the confirmation email, your user account will be deactivated. If this occurs, contact your GSA or the WCIRB Contact Center for assistance. Most user accounts are automatically deactivated after a 1-year period of inactivity from the last time the user successfully logged in.

Optimize your experience by using supported web browsers

WCIRB Connect is compatible with Google Chrome and Internet Explorer 9, 10 and 11. For optimal performance, we recommend that you use one of these web browsers when accessing WCIRB Connect. If the WCIRB Connect interface is not displaying correctly, check the Compatibility View settings on your web browser to confirm “” has been added to the list of websites displayed in Compatibility View mode.
