The Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau of California (WCIRB) is pleased to announce that Andrea Coleman has assumed the role of President and Chief Executive Officer, effective February 1, 2025.
Andrea joined the WCIRB in May 2022 as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, Andrea has played a pivotal role in providing strategic oversight across several key operational areas, including Finance, Human Resources, Customer Experience, Marketing and Communications, Classification and Test Audit as well as the Contact Center.
With over 20 years of leadership experience in the insurance industry, Andrea’s career spans key roles at global insurers in underwriting, distribution and the management of complex operations, including production and field operations.
In response to her new role, Andrea shared: “I am honored to lead the WCIRB and continue advancing its mission and driving meaningful impact for California’s workers’ compensation community. I am inspired by our talented team and look forward to building on the strong foundation laid by Bill Mudge, ensuring we remain a trusted source for our members and stakeholders.”
Andrea succeeds Bill Mudge, who has transitioned to CEO Emeritus until his retirement on April 1, 2025.
