2017-13 NAIC Terrorism Risk Insurance Data Call

The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) has requested that the WCIRB submit, on the industry’s behalf, insurer-specific workers’ compensation terrorism exposure data, including policy counts, payroll and terrorism premium information by payroll size interval for policies both with and without a specific charge for terrorism.

2017-11 Changes to Classification Assignments – Assembly Bill No. 1914 Procedures and Required Notice

The WCIRB has issued this bulletin as a reminder of the guidelines established by California Insurance Code Sections 11753.1 and 11753.2 for implementing a change in a workers’ compensation classification made by an insurer or the WCIRB, particularly those resulting in an increase in premium.

2017-12 New Fees for Coverage Research Requests – Effective August 1, 2017

The WCIRB Governing Committee has approved an increase in the fees charged for the production of workers’ compensation coverage information. These fees apply to requests submitted to the WCIRB by insurers, employers, licensed health care providers and attorneys. Injured workers will continue to receive coverage information free of charge.
