The WCIRB has a variety of products and services for insurers to access experience modifications (X-Mods) and experience rating worksheet data. The product comparison chart can help you decide which data exchange products best suit your needs.

This API web service provides member insurers and their authorized third-party administrators and managing general agents and licensed agencies and brokerages with real-time, automated retrieval of experience modifications (X-Mods), assigned classification codes, previously reported policyholder names and addresses, FEINs and other information to assist in underwriting workers’ compensation policies in California.

Pricing: $2,500 per year for Weekly File; $12,500 per year for Daily File
This data product contains experience modifications with the corresponding WCIRB assigned classification(s), policyholder name, address and other policy information. It also includes a "does not qualify" (DNQ) indicator for those policyholders that do not meet the eligibility threshold for experience rating. This product is sent via Managed File Transfer (secured) and is available on either a daily or weekly basis.
A master file of then current experience modification information is included in this product at initial set-up. Subscribers may purchase a replacement master file for $500 at any time. Advisory Organization subscriptions do not include insurer-specific data (e.g. policy numbers and effective dates).
Incremental weekly or daily updates contain experience modifications issued during the file period.

Advisory Organization subscribers must be registered advisory organizations in good standing per Insurance Code Sections 11750.1(c) and 11753.

The zip file includes an XML companion file designed to be used for mapping the Adobe Acrobat PDF inspection reports to the policies or records in the insurer's system.
