Phraseology: Footnote: This classification applies to the construction, erection, repair or retrofitting of metal bridges and the erection of elevated metal roadways or trestles where the clearance is more than 10 feet at any point or the entire distance between terminal abutments exceeds 20 feet. This classification also applies to welding or cutting of bridge road gratings, plates or structural members by contractors at construction sites. The construction of wood bridges or trestles shall be classified as 6003(3), Bridge or Trestle Construction — wood. Excavation, concrete work and reinforcing steel installation in connection with concrete work shall be separately classified.
