WCIRB X-Mod Product Comparison Chart
The WCIRB has a variety products and services for insurers to access experience modifications (X-Mods) and experience rating worksheet data. The product comparison chart can help you see which data exchange products are best for your needs.

X-Mods and More™ Web Service 

This service provides insurers real-time, automated retrieval of experience modifications, classification codes, previously reported policyholder (“Insured”) names and addresses, FEINs and other information to assist in underwriting workers’ compensation policies in California. Learn more>

Experience Modification Subscription (Insurers and Advisory Organizations)

This product contains WCIRB assigned classifications, policyholder name, address, experience modifications and other policy information for all experience rated policyholders.  It also includes a "does not qualify" (DNQ) indicator for those policyholders that do not meet the eligibility threshold for experience rating. This product is sent via FTP. Experience Rating Worksheets in Adobe Acrobat PDF with XML Companion

Insurers may receive experience rating worksheets for their policyholders in the Adobe Acrobat PDF format via FTP and/or WCIRB Connect. This electronic distribution includes an XML companion file that insurers may use to automatically manage their experience rating worksheets. 

Experience Rating Worksheet Data (WCRATING)

Insurers may obtain experience rating worksheet data for their policyholders in the WCRATING format for issued and withdrawn rate sheets via FTP and/or WCIRB Connect.

Inspection Reports in Adobe Acrobat PDF Format and XML Companion 

Insurers may obtain inspection reports in a zipped PDF format via FTP and/or through WCIRB Connect. The zip file includes an XML companion file designed to be used for mapping the PDF inspection reports to the policies or records in the insurer's system. 

Policy Correspondence Electronic Delivery and XML Companion

Insurers may receive policy correspondence from the WCIRB via FTP and/or WCIRB Connect. This electronic distribution includes an XML companion file that contains meta data that may be used to import and manage these files.

USR Correspondence Electronic Delivery and XML Companion

Insurers may receive USR correspondence in the Adobe Acrobat PDF format. This electronic distribution includes an XML companion file that insurers may use to automatically manage their correspondence.

USR Control List Data File

Insurers may obtain a text file listing of their policies with USRs due for the defined month/year via FTP and/or WCIRB Connect.

USR Delinquent List Data File

Insurers may obtain a text file listing of their policies where the USR has not been received in a timely manner via FTP and/or WCIRB Connect.

USR Fine List Data File

Insurers may obtain a text file listing of their policies where USR delinquency fines have been levied via FTP and/or WCIRB Connect.
