Footnote:
This classification applies to the manufacture of optical goods from optical grade glass, plastic or metal, including but not limited to light filters, prisms and reflectors. This classification also applies to the manufacture of intraocular implants. This classification also applies to the manufacture of optically read discs, including but not limited to blanks for compact discs, laser discs and digital versatile discs. This classification includes incidental coating and polarizing of manufactured optical goods.
The manufacture of glass or plastic optical lenses, including but not limited to eyeglass lenses, contact lenses and lenses for telescopes, microscopes, lasers and binoculars shall be classified as 4150(2), Lens Mfg.
