WCIRB Policyholder Ombudsman Offers Resources for Employers


The WCIRB Policyholder Ombudsman is available as a resource to employers to navigate the often complex California workers’ compensation system. For more information, visit the Employer Resources page.

Video Resources

The WCIRB Policyholder Ombudsman assists employers with the following:

  • How to obtain, evaluate and understand workers’ comp insurance information pertaining to loss experience, claims, classification assignments, experience modifications and other factors that impact your policy premium  
  • Explain rules and decisions as well as the rights and options of all parties involved 
  • Act as an intermediary between the employer and its insurance company and/or the WCIRB by clarifying the issues and putting the employer in contact with the appropriate individuals to resolve the dispute
